FAQ

  • What are your credentials?

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from the University of Puget Sound and my Master of Science in Social Work degree from The University of Texas at Austin.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (#LW61343349) in the state of Washington and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#68018) in the state of Texas.

  • Do you offer in-person or virtual therapy?

I have both in-person and telehealth availability. In-person therapy sessions take place at my Bellevue office location.

For folks who prefer telehealth or live too far from Bellevue to conveniently commute, I offer online therapy sessions. Offering teletherapy allows me to work with clients across the state of Washington and expand the accessibility of my services. Teletherapy is a convenient way to get support in the comfort of your own space, and my clients often say they like this option because they can cut out commute time and easily fit our sessions into their schedule.

  • What's your rate?

My rate is $150 for a 50-minute individual therapy session. If you have Premera, LifeWise, Anthem, or Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, or if you’re using your insurance plan’s out-of-network benefits, the amount you pay for sessions will likely be lower. Please reach out if you’re interested in working together and would like to learn more about using your insurance benefits.

Good Faith Estimate for services is available upon scheduling or upon request.

  • Are you in-network with my insurance?

I accept Premera, LifeWise, Anthem, and Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance plans, with the exception of BCBS Regence plans.

For alI other insurance plans, including Regence, I am considered an out-of-network (OON) provider and can provide a superbill for you to submit directly to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. To confirm your out-of-network mental health benefits, you can call your insurance company’s member services line (usually a 1-800 phone number found on the back of your insurance card).

  • Do you offer a reduced or "sliding scale" rate?

Please note: At this time, my reduced-rate slots are full.

Ensuring the accessibility of my services is important to me. I realize my session rate might not be feasible for some and offer a limited number of reduced-rate slots. If you’re interested in working with me but have concerns about affording my session rate, please reach out to inquire about my reduced rate.

  • How long will we see each other?

The length of our work together depends on a variety of factors. Each person’s therapeutic process is unique, so there’s no set timeline for healing. We can discuss and determine together what length of treatment is right for you based on your needs and goals.
